Skynd release John Wayne Gacy.

Sinister industrial electronic duo Skynd have released their latest track ‘John Wayne Gacy’. Needing no introduction, the song looks upon the hideous and horrifying crimes committed by one of the most notorious serial killers to have lived. The duo formed up by vocalist Skynd and producer/multi-instrumentalist Father, focuses their music on the darker side of humanity writing tracks based on true crimes.

Speaking of this latest release, Skynd shares: “The John Wayne Gacy case has been following me all my life,” the level of arrogance he had, and how he spoke about his victims — ‘I killed 33, you’re only going to kill me once.’ That arrogance is something that stuck with me through today. He also had this twisted rationale for his murders, where he’d project his disgust on his rape victims and ‘what THEY made him do, ‘and that they deserved to die.”

“It’s not like Gacy never drew attention from the authorities. A teenage boy told the Chicago police that Gacy picked him up from a bus station and tried to rape him. The charges were dropped when the boy failed to show up — which is logical to me, as he was afraid — to testify in court and the incident seemingly escaped notice from the Iowa Parole Board. If someone would have looked closely, they could have prevented all the murders.”

‘John Wayne Gacy’ is their latest offering from their EP, ‘Chapter IV’, continuing their trend of EP releases detailing different, dark moments of evil that have been etched in the minds of many, including the likes of ‘Chris Watts’, ‘Richard Ramirez‘, ‘Columbine‘, and ‘Gary Heidnick‘ to name but a few, the last two mentioned featuring guest appearances with hip hop artist Bill $aber and Jonathan Davies.

Skynd have gained attention with festival appearances over the summer at the likes of Download, Rock IM Ring, and Rock AM Ring to name a few, whilst currently heading on their first European headline run with sellout shows in Paris, Munich, Prague, Hamburg, Köln and Berlin.
